Saturday 29 January, 11.00 - 12.00
Join Asifa Lahore, Britain's first out Muslim drag queen, as she reads heart-warming stories celebrating diverse lives and families. Asifa's pre-recorded readings will be screened on our balcony space. There will also be a cosy book corner for families to sit down and read together and a drawing station. Families in all their guises are very welcome and celebrated in this space.
These wonderful recordings have been curated by Jason Katterhorn of Sassify Zine. Thank you to Asifa and Jason, and to the authors for sharing their books with us: Don Freeman, Gus Berger and Joanne Gale. Thank you also to National Lottery Heritage Fund for supporting our programme.
