Collections Database Officer

The Pitt Rivers Museum seeks a part-time Collections Database Officer. The postholder will be responsible for the maintenance of the Museum's collections databases, which provide internal and external access to the Museum's world-famous collections. The role requires a good understanding of how best to help others use databases, the ability to create accounts and change layouts, and the ability to ensure that robust systems checks are completed and backup data is available. Working closely with PRM staff, colleagues in the Museums and Gardens IT group, and the system suppliers, the postholder will ensure that all the Museum's systems work together in an integrated manner.

This is an important role in a busy museum requiring excellent organisation, time management, attention to detail and communication skills.

This is a part-time role for 22 hours per week.

Receptionist

We are currently looking to recruit a part-time, permanent Receptionist within the Pitt Rivers Museum. The postholder will be responsible for providing an efficient and friendly reception service as first point of contact for contractors, visitors, students and researchers including the general public. The Pitt Rivers Museum is a public building with a wide range of users from all backgrounds, University and beyond.

This is a part-time post for 29.2 hours per week/0.8 FTE. The days of work will be Monday to Friday and the hours are expected to be in the morning until early afternoon.

Executive Assistant to the Director and Head of Administration and Finance

The Pitt Rivers Museum is seeking a part-time enthusiastic and professional Executive Assistant to provide a diary management, administrative and secretarial support service for the Director primarily and the Head of Administration and Finance. The postholder will deal with a wide range of matters, sometimes of a highly confidential nature, on behalf of the Director and will be the point of contact for internal and external visitors for the Director.

This is a part-time post for 18 hours per week, expected to be Monday - Friday, 10.00 - 13.40.
