Festival of Social Science at the Pitt Rivers Museum

Join us for a day of free, family-friendly events in the Museum, with all sorts of brilliant, hands-on activities that explore our digital lives, including:

  • Racing against the clock to find out if you are cleverer than AI
  • Discovering what Paddington Bear and pizza delivery apps have in common
  • Exploring what bathroom graffiti can tell us about social media

With everything from online challenges to family crafts and unusual objects to handle, there is something for curious minds of all ages.

And if that wasn't enough, join the FOSS team for even more fantastic events happening around Oxford throughout October and November! From art and nature workshops in Blackbird Leys and slow art in the Ashmolean, to multilingual music sessions for families and the premiere of a newly-created choral piece, you are sure to find a free event to inspire you.
