Folder 3        A green foolscap folder containing minutes from the meetings of the ethnomusicology committee of the RAI and informal meetings (1956, 1957, 1958, 1959).

Folder 4        A green foolscap folder containing minutes from the meetings of ethnomusicology committee of the RAI (1963, 1971), plus a draft of the ‘Manual for Collectors of Ethnomusicology’.

Folder 1        Yellow foolscap folder containing loose leaf hand-written notes from lectures.

Folder 2        Orange folder containing hand-written lecture notes under  a variety of headings including ‘Penniman’, ‘E.P., and ‘Blackwood’ – these cover a wide variety of anthropological topics. Folder also includes some typed lecture outlines and articles by lecturers, including A.R. Radcliffe Brown.

Folder 1        A clear folder which includes:

Green foolscap folder entitled ‘European Seminar in Ethnomusicology, 1986’ – includes music transcriptions, book of abstracts from ESEM 1986 meeting, and prints of some articles.
Yellow foolscap folder containing typed articles, including: ‘Bibliography on the subject of ethnomusicology’ (compiled by John Blacking), ‘What is Social Anthropology?’ by Ian Hamnett (May 1963), ‘Musical Instruments: an introduction to the subject, for students of Social Anthropology’ (by David Rycroft, 1986) and other articles on non-European achievements, gamelan music etc.
