As a Curatorial Assistant in the Photograph and Manuscript Collections section, I work on the digitisation and cataloguing of major photographic collections from different parts of the world. I am also undertaking preventative conservation work and the enhancement of storage for new acquisitions

Ollie is a graduate of the MSc in Visual Material and Museum Anthropology course at the University of Oxford and alumnus of St. Cross College, Oxford. His interests while a student of the VMMA course included digital museology, micro-museums and sensory anthropology. He also received a BA in Archaeology with Anthropology from the University of Exeter in 2019 where he undertook fieldwork excavations in Kazakhstan and South Dakota, USA.
 
Having graduated from the VMMA course in 2020, Ollie joined the University of Exeter’s Digital Humanities Lab as a Technical Assistant, supporting humanities researchers with digitisation projects and overseeing a group of interns in their day-to-day operation of the Lab spaces. Ollie has previous voluntary experience with the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Bill Douglas Cinema Museum where he catalogued areas of the museum’s pre-cinema collections and created an interactive digital surrogate of a panorama for their website.
