Design for LIfe was a project funded by the MLA and run in conjunction with the V&A and Pitt Rivers museum. It sought to develop ways of engaging young people in design. It provided the opportunity for year 10 pupils from Chenderit school near Banbury to work with artist and designer Heather Barnett. Using the museum's collection of textiles, animal designs and body adornment as inspiration, the pupils produced a series of textile designs which could finally be used for modern interior designs. 35 pupils took part and the project concluded with an exhibition and Private view at the museum in December 2010.
