How to make a gift
The easiest way to donate to the Pitt Rivers is online via the Campaign
for Oxford website following the instructions on ways to give. You can give
single gifts via debit and credit cards or set up a direct debit online, and
you can also print off a giving-form for single and regular gifts, or donate
over the telephone.

Entrance to the Museum is free but we ask
that visitors make a small contribution
of
£2 per person. In the Museum visitors can
make a cash donation to the
‘Anthropologists’
Fundraising Ritual’ and receive a salute from
the anthropologists.
This delightful animated
collecting box made by artist Tim Hunkin has
now
been in place 10 years and has become
a favourite spot in the Museum. If
you would like us to send you a giving form to complete please contact the Administrator.
You can also donate by cheque, made payable to 'University of Oxford' (Pitt Rivers Museum) and sent to The Administrator, Pitt Rivers Museum, South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3PP.
Gift Aid It!
UK tax-payers, please note that as a charity we can claim gift-aid on your donation and increase its value by almost 30%. Please sign the gift aid declaration making sure that you clearly mark the Giving Form to indicate that your donation is for the Pitt Rivers Museum.
Leaving a gift in your will, or a legacy
Such gifts can underpin major improvements to the Museum and the care of its collections. The University of Oxford's charitable status means that the value of any gift made to the Museum in your will is deducted before inheritance tax. If you are interested in making a legacy in favour of a particular area of the Museum's work or wish to leave an object to collections we would be happy to discuss your wishes with you. Please email the Administrator.
