Specialist talks and tours on the third Saturday of the month at 14.30. They are free and there is no need to book.
Volunteer lead tours take place in the Museum on Wednesdays at 14.30 and 15.15. They are free and there is no need to book.

The Community Outreach Service provides free workshops and programmes for adult community groups, adult learners and family learning.
These outreach sessions involve handling real museum objects as well as a range of other hands-on activities. The sessions are delivered at your own venue and can be tailored to meet the needs of your group. The service also provides free workshops and guided tours at each of the museums and collections.

Special Educational Needs
Visiting a museum and/or handling objects can be an enriching and stimulating experience for individuals with varying abilities and needs.

The Pitt Rivers Museum houses one of the world's finest and best documented collections of ethnographic and archaeological artefacts, as well as ethnographic photographs and archival holdings. Teaching is central to the Museum's role and is continued today in the School of Anthropology, of which the Museum is a part, along with the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology (ISCA).
