There is strong continuity in the pottery from the southwestern United States, with established patterns being reworked from prehistoric times to the present. This jug from Arizona has been decorated with geometric grey and white slip designs. It was found in archaeological ruins, and was made around 800 years ago. View database record 1896.54.52 |
